Welcome. My name is Gigi Valster, an interior designer with a passion for creating spaces that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional and personal.
My love for interiors started early. From a young age I worked with my mother on styling and decoration at home: winter accessories in winter, lighter settings in summer. We moved house several times and always took care of the interiors together, and often helped friends and family as well. Over time this passion and hobby became my work. My mother, who is of Italian origin, has undoubtedly passed on her love of design to me...

Who am I? Rotterdam-based with Italian roots
My name is Gigi Valster, interior designer and founder of GV Concepts. As someone born and raised in Rotterdam, I work in a personal and highly committed way. I believe in open communication and a transparent process, so you always know exactly what to expect.
This personal approach is also reflected in the way GV Concepts is structured. I work with a dedicated team, largely made up of family members. From my Italian roots, I have learned from an early age the importance of collaboration, craftsmanship and attention to detail. This translates into clear communication, strong involvement and a meticulous approach in every project.
The combination of a practical working method and a warm, personal approach ensures that clients quickly feel at ease. I do not operate from a large, anonymous agency, but from a welcoming studio with short lines of communication and genuine attention for each project. This is often experienced as reassuring, transparent and highly professional.
My design studio is located in Pijnacker, in the immediate vicinity of Rotterdam. From here, I work on a wide range of interior projects in Rotterdam and the surrounding areas. With completed projects in Marbella, Knokke and even central London, we are also active internationally. Thanks to this regional involvement, I am familiar with various property types, from city apartments to spacious family homes, detached villas and holiday residences, allowing me to carefully tailor each design to both its setting and architectural style.

A revision round is included, ensuring that the plan fully aligns with your expectations before we move on to the next phase.
From interior design to full implementation

This includes supervising renovations (project management), coordinating suppliers, managing logistics such as delivery, storage and installation of furniture, and overseeing the final styling. Throughout the entire process, I remain the central point of contact, so clients do not need to concern themselves with the details.
Our approach herefore extends far beyond creating a design. It is precisely the combination of delivering the complete interior and guiding the entire implementation process that defines the way we work. Minor adjustments can be made after the design presentation, as the design proposal almost always includes a revision round, allowing the plan to be further refined before final approval of the complete quotation.
This ensures a single point of contact, with all invoicing handled directly through our studio. Many clients consciously choose this comprehensive service because they lead busy lives or temporarily relocate abroad. It is not uncommon for clients to return only at completion, stepping into a fully transformed home styled down to the finest detail.
