Family Villa

This villa was ready for an update. The family had lived here for many years without making major changes and still had the same kitchen and most of the interior as when the home was delivered. Now that the children have moved out and the couple is retired they wanted to renovate properly and thoroughly. The dining room was placed behind the fireplace in a space that was previously a storage room. By opening the passage the room became much larger. In the kitchen we kept the structure but renewed the fronts and appliances. The island and built in cabinets are new and a doorway to the utility room was created with a steel pivot door. The utility room is now fully equipped with washer and dryer at eye level everything finished in the same colour as the walls and sufficient storage. A small workspace was added for daily tasks and the bay window now features a low dining area which is ideal for a drink a coffee or reading the newspaper.
Gigi redesigned and restyled our home in Rotterdam Nesselande. He listened carefully to our wishes and preferences and turned them into a beautifully cohesive design. We especially fell in love with the kitchen, featuring a Taj Mahal countertop. He worked with the existing kitchen elements, which felt wonderfully sustainable and was very important to us.
The bleached-walnut cabinet wall includes a hidden passage to the neatly finished utility room, and flows seamlessly into the floating bleached-walnut cabinet beneath the television, complete with a beautifully illuminated backdrop. Communication was excellent and we always received quick replies to our questions. A tightly managed schedule and strong planning made the entire project a great success. Highly recommended!
