Who is Gigi valster?

Welcome. My name is Gigi Valster, an interior designer with a passion for creating spaces that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional and personal. My love for interiors started early. From a young age I worked with my mother on styling and decoration at home: winter accessories in winter, lighter settings in summer. We moved house several times and always took care of the interiors together, and often helped friends and family as well. Over time this passion and hobby became my work. My mother, who is of Italian origin, has undoubtedly passed on her love of design to me.

In early 2022 I founded my own studio, “GV Concepts”. Now, more than three years and many projects in the Netherlands and abroad later, I have built a strong portfolio and have had the pleasure of working with many wonderful clients. Many of them have become more than clients and I still see and speak to them regularly after a project is completed. That says a lot about my way of working and the role I take. My approach is personal and involved. I believe in open communication and a transparent process, so that you always know what to expect as a client. Together we create an interior that is not only beautiful, but also a reflection of your personality and taste.

My aim is to bring your vision to life and create an environment in which you feel at home. I believe an interior should be timeless: classic, elegant, calm yet tasteful. By working with base colours and a variety of natural materials, I achieve this in my designs. At the same time, an interior should reflect the client: their story, travels, background and pieces that naturally belong in the home. My projects may have a recognisable common thread, but they still differ from one another because I focus on the end user.

At the end of 2026 I will open “GV & Coworking”, my own office and design studio in Capelle aan den IJssel. There I want to welcome other young entrepreneurs by offering flexible workspaces. I strongly believe that working together with a selected group of entrepreneurs in a similar field creates added value for everyone. The office itself is too large for me alone, and I prefer to share it. The space will be fully furnished with products from the partners I have worked with on interior projects over the past three years. This allows me to show what is possible and to demonstrate the quality of these suppliers, as clients can experience their products directly.
