Get to know Gigi Valster
Welcome. My name is Gigi Valster, an interior designer with a passion for creating spaces that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional and personal.
My love for interiors started early. From a young age I worked with my mother on styling and decoration at home: winter accessories in winter, lighter settings in summer. We moved house several times and always took care of the interiors together, and often helped friends and family as well. Over time this passion and hobby became my work. My mother, who is of Italian origin, has undoubtedly passed on her love of design to me...

Creating harmony through composition
Styling is the interplay of shape, material and light. By repositioning existing elements, adding refined accents and removing visual noise, a space begins to breathe. The focus is always balance: not too full, not too minimal, but intentionally in between.
Materials that define atmosphere
Soft textures, matte finishes and natural tones create warmth and quiet presence. We select materials that age beautifully and complement both the architecture and everyday living, resulting in a space that feels timeless and inviting.
Colour as a subtle design tool
Colour is applied with intention and restraint. No loud statements, but nuanced tones that strengthen each other. With careful use of colour, depth and calmness emerge, giving a space identity without overwhelming it.
Small adjustments, significant impact
A home doesn’t need a full renovation to feel renewed. Often, a few well-considered changes are enough to shift the atmosphere. Thoughtful compositions, functional accents and one defining element can bring the entire interior together.
